Salt starts it. Water kills.

If salt content is high, as a result of illness--1) Illness stops salt exit thru kidney--2) 20 salt tablets in each liter of NS accreted.  Lest saltiness (conc) overwhelm, body holds 100cc of water for each 1.0 gm of salt (content).  Water kills, curiously water is part of cure!
